e-Visas highlighted as priority in SA President`s State Of The Nation Address. On February 7, SA President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his second State of the Nation address, making a number of key announcements. E-Visas were named as the highest priority by the President, who pledged the introduction of a world-class e-Visa regime. “This, combined with enhanced destination marketing and measures to strengthen tourism safety, will create the conditions for the growth we envisage, and the jobs and opportunities that will follow,” said Ramaphosa.

I recently applied for my Smart ID card through the eHomeAffairs portal, and was surprised at how well it worked. I booked and paid for my ID application via the Home Affairs website, and selected Standard Bank Centurion ` which contains a Home Affairs office ` as my application point.

15. Jan. 2019 Winelands

The City of Cape Town received 2.6 million international visitors in 2018. In 2018, 2,6 million international passengers were recorded by Cape Town International Airport, representing a 9,6% growth from 2017, despite the drought and other challenges experienced by the region. This growth came from long-haul carriers from outside the Southern African region.
